PROJECT FRAME WORK & GUIDELINES


Class IX: -

Each section of class IXth will have four teams and each team would have a maximum number of four members and a minimum number of three members.

Selection of Members: -

The class teacher and/or the class monitor would select each member of the team.
An interested student may also join the team by showing interest in the topics given to each team and by requesting the class teacher and/or the class monitor to enter his/her name as a team member.


Points and guidelines to be followed by the authorities, organizers, and students

1. The whole competition would be divided in three phases which are as follows: -

· PHASE I

This phase would be judged by the respective class-teachers. This phase would be an intra-section competition. In this phase the teams would express their views on the given topic by giving a speech and answering the question, if any. Total time period for every team would be 5 minutes only.
The teachers shall award marks to the teams on the following basis: -

i) Oration skills. (3 Marks)
ii) Presentation of their research report. (2 Marks)
iii) Content of the research report. (2 Marks)
iv) Spontaneity of the team members. (3 Marks)

The teams shall be awarded a maximum of 10 marks only in this phase.
Only two teams each consisting 4 members’ from every section of class IXth would be promoted to the Phase II. It’s not necessary that the members of the wining teams of Phase I would represent their section, the respective class teacher may redefine the composition of the teams also .


· PHASE II

The winners of Phase I, would compete in phase-II.
The judges in this Phase will not be the class-teachers of class IXth.
PHASE II, would be an inter-section event in which each team would have a chance to present their thoughts on the topics with the help of a power-point presentation and their oration skills.
The total time period given to every team for their presentation would be 5 Minutes only. After this the participants shall answer the questions directed for them by the judges, the audience and the interjectors.

Note: -
Each question asked should be answered in not more than 1 minute as the team has only 5 minutes for the question and answer session.

Note: -

It’s compulsory for every team member to speak for at least 1 minute incase of a speaker and incase of an interjector or a technician he/she has to either answer or ask a question.

Teams securing 35 marks or more would be eligible to participate in Phase III.

· PHASE III

Teams securing 35 marks or more would be eligible to participate in Phase III.
Phase III, would be basically an interview, with the qualifying teams.
A team would be awarded a maximum of 20 marks in this Phase .The panel would consist of 5 members who would ask a minimum of two questions from each team member and give them marks on the basis of their performance in the interview.



Class Xth

All of the rules and regulation as well as the guidelines mentioned above for class IXth
are applicable on the teams of class Xth also, the only difference is that Class X’s Phase I would be class IX’s Phase II,i.e there would be no intra-section completion for class Xth students they would have only two Phases at an inter-section level.



Extras: -

· Each team would participate in every phase and there would be a winner
and runners up.
· It’s compulsory for all the class IX teams to participate in every Phase, however
the competition for class X would start from Phase II i.e. the inter-section level.

· The coordinator’s decision would be the final and binding on all the participants.
